"KODAK MOMENTS"
SWBANS @ Blue Rocks May 2001
It's getting a tradition. The annual outing of SWBANS
members and friends in the Blue Rocks area near Lunenburg in May. Launch
site and apres paddling hang-out is Donna and Howard's place in Stonehurst.
Here are some impressions from our 2001 visit. A foggy and
overcast day, but pretty warm for early May and dead calm. Missed it? Bad for
you, make sure it will not happen again by booking your place for the next one
today......
(A note: Blue Rocks is as save as ocean paddling can get. However, the water is cold, so be prepared. Paddling in a group is a good start. Suitable clothing, equipment, and skills are even better. This is a trip suitable for first time paddlers and beginners, more a short distance warm up for the upcoming season.)
The pod going out from Stonehurst counted close to 20 paddlers
